BUZZ – Tomorrow

English lyrics

The sound of the clock that used to wake me up
Before even the sun was up
Will not ring out today
Everyday was exhausting
But I endured it well until now
So I will allow myself a deep sleep

This will be my tomorrow

When I open my eyes
The new world I’ve imagined and seen in my dreams will be waiting for me
No matter what hardships come my way
I won’t dread any of them anymore

Like a blessing, the fragments of the dazzling sunshine
Will brightly smile upon the road I walk
This will be my tomorrow

I will bid farewell to my tiring yesterday
And will shake hands with my uncertain today
And then I will pat my weary shoulder

There will be a brand new tomorrow

When I open my eyes
The new world I’ve imagined and seen in my dreams will be waiting for me
No matter what hardships come my way
I won’t dread any of them anymore

Like a blessing, the fragments of the dazzling sunshine
Will brightly smile upon the road I walk

It’s a dream I’ve wanted so desperately
I’ve only come one step closer to it now but I feel like it means the world

The new world I’ve imagined and seen in my dreams will be waiting for me
No matter what hardships come my way
I won’t dread any of them anymore

Like a blessing, the fragments of the dazzling sunshine
Will brightly smile upon the road I walk
This will be my tomorrow

Commentary

I used to listen to this song in a loop with Memorandum when I was a kid. I think they were my favourites from the album. Tomorrow has this mysterious charm : depending on your mood when you listen to it, it can sound full of hope or the opposite. The melody seems to mirror a bright sunshine but it is slightly tainted with sadness at the same time. I don’t know how to explain. This is not even a note about the translation…

Back to the topic.

This will be my tomorrow

For the first occurrence of this sentence , the original was literally closer to “A tomorrow that is only mine is…”. It actually was literally “The tomorrow of only me is…”

The ones that come right at the end of the chorus parts are literally “My tomorrow is”

There will be a brand new tomorrow

Same as above. Literally, it would have translated as “A brand new tomorrow is…”
